The Galloways of the Ferme des Forestiers
We had our first eight cows in 2008, the year we settled.
In 2009 we decided to increase our herd by purchasing more heifers, cows and a bull.
Today, our herd consists of 19 mothers and 2 bulls.
Our cows are raised outdoors.
In winter, they benefit from a building and a park, all with free access. They are fed hay during this period.
In spring, they are released into large parks where they eat exclusively grass.
In July they go up to the mountain pastures where they will stay until the first snow.
